<h5>What happened in San Francisco?</h5><p>A giant glowing X sign has been removed from the main office of the company that used to be <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.newsahoot.com/articles/the-crisis-inside-twitter">Twitter</a>. San Francisco city officials are investigating the sign's installation on the building. Putting up such a sign on top of a building requires permission for design and safety reasons.</p><h5>What complaints did the officials receive?</h5><p>The sign flashed very brightly at night, making several locals angry and leading to many complaints. People living nearby had trouble at night because the glowing sign was too bright.</p><p>The Department of Building Inspection's spokesperson said an inspector tried to investigate the sign twice, responding to the complaints. However, the inspector was not allowed to go to the roof.</p><h5>Why did Elon Musk rename Twitter?</h5><figure class="image"><img src="https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/newsahoot.appspot.com/o/big-x-removed-from-twitter-building-after-complaints%2FX%20logo.jpg?alt=media&amp;token=226a3bf0-bb77-4aec-bd93-096bbfdc4562"><figcaption>The X sign on the company’s building. The app is displayed as 'X' in the Apple and Google app stores.</p><p>Musk explained that Twitter was named for short messages, like bird tweets, limited to 140 characters. But now, people can share almost anything, even long videos. He plans to add more features for communication and finance in the future. So, he decided to rename Twitter to X because he wants it to be an “everything” app (not just for tweeting).</p>
