China achieves a major milestone!
China has made an important step in making new energy. They did a big experiment with their "artificial sun" machine.
This machine is called Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST). It kept super-hot gas burning for 1,066 seconds! This is much longer than before, when it burned for only 403 seconds.
This is a great achievement in the search for fusion power. Fusion power is like how the Sun works. It makes energy by joining tiny atoms together with heat and pressure.
Scientists want to make fusion power on Earth. If they do, we can have lots of clean energy without causing pollution!
