China’s new train.

China is getting closer to launching one of the world’s fastest high-speed trains! The new CR450 train can go 450 kilometres per hour (km/h) or 281 miles per hour (mph) in tests.

When people start riding it, it will run at 400 km/h (248 mph). That’s faster than China’s CR400 train, which started in 2017 and runs at 350 km/h (217 mph).

This train is not just fast—it’s super smart too! It has:

  • A cooling system to stop overheating
  • 4,000 sensors to check speed and safety
  • A strong braking system for emergencies
  • A light but strong design for better speed

The engineers are making the train lighter so it can go even faster! The bottom is covered to reduce air resistance and save energy.

China is dominating this sector.

China has many high-speed trains. The Shanghai Maglev train uses magnets to float and can go 431 km/h (268 mph)!

Other countries also have fast trains, like:

  • France's Train à Grande Vitesse (TGV)
  • Japan’s Shinkansen
  • Spain’s AVE Class 103

But China’s trains are the fastest for passengers! If the CR450 runs at 400 km/h, China will stay number one in high-speed rail.

Reason for China’s dominance in high-speed trains.

China is the leader in fast trains because:

  • It has many high-speed tracks
  • It uses new technology to make trains faster and safer
  • It builds new railways quickly to meet demand

Many other countries, like India, are still working on their first fast trains. They face problems like land issues, money, and high costs. With the CR450, China shows it will stay number one in fast trains!
