Video by daikanyama.</figcaption> </figure></div><p>Following the video, the New Delhi Municipal Committee (NDMC) responded quickly and sent cleaners to clean up the area.</p><p>Ambassador Freddy Svane thanked the NDMC for taking quick action and cleaning the area.</p><p>He also said that his video pointing out the mess was not criticism directed towards the country but simply pointing out an issue.</p><h5>Why we cannot throw garbage just anywhere.</h5><p>If we throw away garbage improperly, it affects the environment negatively. It damages public spaces like gardens, streets, etc.</p><p>The waste can also find its way into the ocean, river, etc. The harmful chemicals present in them can contaminate the water and cause marine life to die.</p><p>Land pollution also occurs as the garbage can break down, causing harmful chemicals to enter the soil. This can affect the environment, harming plants, animals, and humans.</p><p>Also, if a place is full of garbage, it will become a breeding ground for mosquitoes and flies. They can spread various diseases in the area. The place will also smell and look bad.</p><h5>What can we do?</h5><p>Firstly, we must not throw garbage just anywhere, but dispose of it properly by throwing it in a garbage disposal bin.</p><p>We must also stop others from littering and tell them about the harmful effects of throwing garbage everywhere.</p><p>You can tell your local authorities if you see people throwing garbage in places like gardens, roads, etc. They can put a stop to it.</p><p>You can also throw away any garbage, like empty cold drink bottles, chocolate wrappers, etc., in garbage bins. Always wash your hands properly after that. Also, do not try to handle toxic waste on your own.</p>
