Devastating floods in Spain.
Recently, Spain had huge flash floods after a lot of rain. This happened in the south and east of the country, in places like Costa del Sol and the city of Valencia.
The rain filled cars and houses with water, and many people got trapped. Sadly, some people died, and many were hurt. The floods also damaged roads, bridges, and houses. Spain is still working to fix the damage.
Police, firefighters, and soldiers are working hard to find missing people.
In the worst-hit areas, many people do not have clean water to drink. Food stalls and kitchens that were set up to help are still covered in mud. It is hard to give food to the people who need it.

What caused the floods?
The floods happened because Spain had the rainiest October ever. The heavy rain focused on rivers like the Magro and Turia. These rivers overflowed and flooded the land.
Scientists say climate change might have made the floods worse. Warmer air can hold more water, which can cause stronger storms. The jet stream, which is the wind in the sky, has also changed, making storms more dangerous.
In August, the Mediterranean Sea around Spain was very hot. This heat made the rain even heavier and made the floods worse.
Scientists say that because of climate change, we will have more storms like this in the future.
People criticising the government.
Many people in Spain are unhappy with their government. They say the government did not warn them in time. They did not get the warning until the floods had already started.
Even though the weather service gave warnings, the local government was not ready. They did not know what to do, and this caused more confusion and made the situation worse.
We hope the situation there improves soon and people find the help they need.
