<h5>The dog behind doge meme.</h5><p>The Shiba Inu dog, Kabosu, famous as the face of the Doge meme, has passed away. ????</p><p>The news was confirmed by its owner, Atsuko Sato. Kabosu was unwell for some time, suffering from various diseases.</p><h5>The legacy of Kabosu - the good doggo!</h5><p>Atsuko Sato adopted Kabosu in 2008. Kabosu gained internet fame from a photo on Sato’s blog where she appeared to smirk. The picture was referred to as “Doge”, a deliberate misspelling of the word dog.</p><p>The Doge meme stars Kabosu or other Shiba Inus, with text representing dialogues written in broken English.</p><p>Kabosu also inspired the creation of a cryptocurrency, Dogecoin.</p><h5>Some doge memes!</h5><p>Doge memes continue to bring joy and laughter.</p><p>Kabosu’s death has saddened us all.
