We can find them constantly scrolling through the Internet on their smartphones and computers for entertainment, education, and social connections.</p><p>This connectivity brings forward both opportunities and challenges. While the Internet can help kids access vast amounts of knowledge, too much of it can also cause harm.</p><p>A study published in the PLOS Mental Health journal has found that excessive Internet use affects the brains of youngsters. It can affect your brain, as found in the study. You might also waste a lot of time that you could have spent on other activities like studying, playing, pursuing a hobby, etc.</p><p>It can also affect your sleep schedule, deteriorating your physical health. Remember, you need at least eight hours of sleep, and excessive Internet use can cut your sleeping time.</p><p>Thus, in the long run, Internet addiction can negatively affect your physical, social and academic lives.</p><p>So, remember to limit your Internet usage and spend your time studying, playing with your friends, talking to your parents, pursuing a hobby, etc.</p>

With more accessible and affordable Internet, children who excessively use it are being affected.
