<p>They discovered the ruins of a 4700-year-old public eating area (like a restaurant) in Lagash, a major Sumerian civilization site. An oven, seats, and an old clay refrigerator called a "zeer" were discovered. </p>

<p>The recently discovered palace can tell us more about Sumerian history. This is because the site contains over 200 cuneiform tablets with administrative data about Girsu.</p>
