<h5>What is a Supreme Court?</h5>  <p>There are many types of courts in a country. These courts offer justice to anyone who feels they were treated unfairly. Courts also punish criminals and wrong-doers when they break the law. 
But not all courts are the same. Some courts have more power than other courts. The Supreme Court is the top-most court in any country. Once it makes a decision, other courts must follow what it has said. The Supreme Court also has the power to change the decisions of other courts. 
Recently, the United States (US) government appointed Kentaji Brown Jackson as a Supreme Court judge. Let’s find out who she is.</p> <h5>Who is Kentaji Brown Jackson?</h5>  <p>Kentaji Brown Jackson is the newest judge in the US Supreme Court. Before joining the US Supreme Court, she served as a judge in various other courts in the US for many years. 
She has also worked as a lawyer for the US government, holding many important positions. Jackson made history by becoming a judge in the US Supreme Court. 
</p> <h5>What makes her appointment to the US Supreme Court so important?</h5>  <p>Jackson is the first female Black judge and the third Black person to become a judge in the US Supreme Court. </p>
<p>Her appointment is historic because Black people in the US have faced injustice for a long time. 
Her appointment has inspired many Black people to work towards achieving their goals even though they face difficulties.</p> <h5>Are there women judges in the Supreme Court of India?</h5>  <p>Yes. There are four women judges in the Supreme Court of India. They are - Justice Indira Banerjee, Justice Hima Kohli, Justice B.V Nagarathna, and Justice Bela M. Trivedi.
