Jimmy Carter, a former US president (1977-1981), has died at the age of 100 in his hometown, Plains, Georgia, USA. He was the oldest living US president and spent many years helping people worldwide after leaving the White House.
The current US president, Joe Biden, called Carter a great person and announced January 9th as a day of mourning to honour him. Many famous people also shared kind words about Carter’s life and hard work.
