What is a quantum chip?
A chip is a small part inside things like phones, computers, and robots. It helps them work properly. A quantum chip is a special type of chip. It uses a science called quantum mechanics, which studies very tiny things like atoms.
Regular computer chips use something called "bits." Bits are like small switches. They can be off (0) or on (1). But quantum chips use qubits. A qubit can be off (0), on (1), or even both at the same time!
Imagine this: You have a box of marbles. A regular chip can only pick one marble at a time—either a red one (0) or a blue one (1). But a quantum chip can pick a special marble that is both red and blue at once!
This special ability helps quantum chips solve problems faster because they can think about many things at the same time.
