<h5>Mumbai Indians knocked out!</h5><p>Look away, Mumbai Indians (MI) fans. This news will only sadden you, as MI became the first team to be eliminated from the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 playoff race.</p><p>MI hasn’t performed well this season under new captain Hardik Pandya, disappointing fans. MI currently has only 8 points, with two games remaining to be played. If they win those two, they can only get 12 points, which is insufficient to make it to the top four.</p><p>Currently, three teams, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Delhi Capitals (DC), and LSG, are already on 12 points. They also have more matches to play.</p><p>LSG and DC will play one another shortly, which means one of them will reach 14 points. MI wouldn’t be able to catch any of them and thus have been eliminated from IPL 2024.</p><h5>Which teams can qualify for playoffs?</h5><p>While writing this, only 13 matches remain to be played in the league stage of IPL 2024. All teams, except MI, have a chance to qualify for the playoffs.</p><p>However, the top two teams (Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals), along with SRH, CSK, DC, and LSG, have a better chance of qualifying than the others.</p><p>We will have to wait and see which four teams will finally qualify for the playoffs.
