<h5>What is the MTV VMAs?</h5><p>The MTV VMAs, or MTV Video Music Awards, is a yearly award show to recognise outstanding achievements in the music entertainment and music video industries. The television network Music Television, or MTV, gives the award. It was first held in 1984.</p><p>Awards are given in different categories. This year's show was held on 12th September 2023 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, USA. Nicki Minaj was the host, and BTS’s <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.newsahoot.com/articles/jungkook-of-bts-reveals-favourite-indian-dish">Jungkook</a> won an award at this event.</p><h5>In which category did Jungkook win?</h5><figure class="image"><img src="https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/newsahoot.appspot.com/o/jungkook-wins-an-award-at-the-mtv-vm-as%2FJungkook%202.jpg?alt=media&amp;token=6fb185dc-eed1-485b-aaa3-f5103f7df046"><figcaption>Jungkook posing for a photo. He's the first male K-Pop soloist to win a VMA. Sadly, Jungkook didn’t attend the award show.</p><p>All the BTS fans (also called ARMY) are very happy for him. The song “Seven” has created two world records. It became the most streamed song by a male singer on Spotify in just one week.
