A big accident shocked people when a plane with 67 passengers crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Sadly, many people died, but about 30 people were saved and are now getting help for their injuries.

The plane was flying from Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, to Grozny, Russia. But it crashed far off its path, near the Caspian Sea, in Aktau.

Before the crash, people saw the plane flying in strange circles. It caught fire when it hit the ground, and some injured people were seen coming out of the wreckage.

What caused the crash?

Experts are trying to understand what happened. They found the plane’s black box, which could help solve the mystery. Here are some ideas about what might have caused the crash:

Bird Strike: Some Russian officials think the plane hit a bird, and the pilot tried to land it.

Bad Weather: The president of Azerbaijan thinks bad weather might have made the plane change its course.

Mistake: Other experts think a Russian missile or a Ukrainian drone could have hit the plane.

One expert said the bird strike idea might not be true because accidents like that don’t usually make planes go so far off their path. Right now, these are just guesses, and the investigation is still going on. Everyone is waiting for answers.
