What is KBC?
KBC, or Kaun Banega Crorepati, is a television game show that focuses on multiple-choice quiz questions.
This show started in the year 2000, and it's now in its 15th season. The show took some breaks in between; that’s why it's the 15th season. Amitabh Bachchan has hosted it since the beginning, except for the third season when Shahrukh Khan replaced him.
People from all over India watch this show. Many also try to participate in this show to win the top prize. Recently, a young man became this season’s first crorepati.
Who became this season’s first crorepati?
Jaskaran Singh, a 21-year-old from a small town in Punjab, won Rs 1 crore on KBC 15. He had a chance to win Rs 7 crore but didn't know the answer to the final question. So he decided to quit and took home the one crore prize.
Jaskaran is preparing for the civil services exam. He also got a new car as a prize before facing the final question. Even though he didn't win the biggest prize, he's happy and wants to give the money to his father. The final question presented to him was:
