Who is BTS?
BTS is a boy band from South Korea. There are seven guys who form the BTS - RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. The BTS is the most famous boy band in the world.
BTS stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan which means Bulletproof Boy Scouts. They called themselves bulletproof to send a message to youngsters to remain unaffected by what others say about them.
Instead, they choose to celebrate the strength and toughness of youngsters. BTS has millions of fans who proudly call themselves the ARMY.
How long has BTS been around?

Nine years! They released their first album, 2 Cool 4 Skool, on 13th June 2013. Since then, they have produced many super-hit albums and other pieces of music.
BTS is the only Korean act to reach the number one spot on the Billboard 200 many times. What makes this even more awesome than it already is that most of their music is in Korean - a language their international fans don’t understand.
How did the BTS get so successful?
The BTS may have released their first album in 2013, but they got together in 2010. In these three years, they worked for about twelve to fifteen hours a day to master their (now) world-famous singing and dancing skills.
How is BTS different from other K-pop bands and what’s next for them?
In South Korea, many large music companies train and control children from a very young age to make them pop stars when they are older. This is a very problematic practice. They are taught how to behave, sing, dance, act, etc. These children have to do what the company says. BTS is different because they never allowed this to happen to themselves. Instead, they chose to openly show the world that they were not perfect. They sang about what they believed in and not what someone else told them to. Recently, the members of the BTS have decided to take a break from the band and focus on their individual careers. But we hope that this is not the end of BTS and that one day, they will be back together to make more awesome music!
