The Silk Road.

The Silk Road wasn’t made of silk! It was a crucial trade route that connected Asia and Europe. Traders used it to move goods, including silk, which is why it's called the Silk Road.
The route went through tough places like the Gobi Desert. Even though it was hard to travel, traders and travellers used it until the late medieval period. There were many robbers, so traders travelled in groups to stay safe.
The Silk Road was important because it helped spread goods and ideas among different cultures. Today, parts of the old route still exist as a highway connecting Pakistan and China. Isn’t it amazing how history connects different places?
