<h5>Hello Lokiceratops</h5><p>A groundbreaking discovery was made in the rocky terrains of northern Montana, USA. Meet Lokiceratops rangiformis, a dinosaur with some of the most impressive horns ever seen!</p><p>During an excavation near the USA-Canada border, scientists unearthed the fossil remains of this new dinosaur species.</p><p>This herbivorous giant roamed the Earth about 78 million years ago, during the Late Cretaceous period.</p><h5>The Discovery</h5><p>Lokiceratops is named after Loki, the trickster god from Norse mythology, famous for his horned helmet.</p><p>This dinosaur’s name, meaning "Loki’s horned face," is fitting given its two colossal blade-like horns on the frill - the largest ever found on a ceratopsid.</p><p>Unlike its famous cousin, Triceratops, Lokiceratops lacked a nasal horn but compensated with its decorated and unique frill adorned with an asymmetrical spike.</p><figure class="image"><img alt="449195704_994957392414335_3348212136352186787_n.jpg" src="https://storage.googleapis.com/newsahoot.appspot.com/449195704_994957392414335_3348212136352186787_n_dd31b14ae2.jpg"><figcaption>A person checking out the Lokiceratops fossil and display at the museum. Photo by Natural History Museum of Utah.</figcaption></figure><h5>Life and Characteristics</h5><ul><li>Lokiceratops was approximately 6.7 meters long and weighed around five tons, comparable to the size of an elephant.</li><li>It inhabited the ancient swamps and floodplains along Laramidia, a landmass that once divided North America.</li><li>The horns of Lokiceratops were not just for show; they likely played a role in defence and possibly in attracting mates, similar to how peacocks use their feathers.</li></ul><h5>From Discovery to Display</h5><p>Discovered in 2019, the Lokiceratops fossils have been meticulously restored. They now feature prominently at the Natural History Museum of Utah in Salt Lake City, where visitors can see the reconstruction of its skull and a life-size sculpture.</p><p>This display offers a glimpse into the prehistoric world and the fascinating creatures that once roamed it.</p>
