Police dressed as power rangers?
In São Paulo, four police officers dressed as Power Rangers during Carnival to catch thieves.
At first, no one noticed them because many people wore colorful costumes. But when they stopped a thief, the crowd cheered, shouting “Power Rangers! Power Rangers!”
The video became very popular, and São Paulo’s governor made a joke, saying, “It’s morphin’ time!”

Did the Power Rangers costumes help?
Police say that thieves often steal during big festivals. They believe dressing as Power Rangers helped stop crime.
This year, there were only 880 phone thefts before Carnival, compared to 2,344 last year. The Power Rangers recovered seven stolen phones and about $2,424.
What is the Carnival?
Carnival is Brazil’s biggest festival, held before Lent. It mixes European and African traditions, especially samba music.
