How did Rafael Nadal play at the French Open?

Rafael Nadal won the French Open in 2022. He also won the other Grand Slam game that’s happened this year so far - Australian Open.

His victory is mind-blowing when you consider what he was up against. In the last six months, he’s battled a horrible case of COVID-19, fractured ribs, and an extremely painful foot injury. At the French Open, his foot injury was so painful that he had to take injections to numb the pain.

Despite all these challenges, Nadal defeated Norwegian tennis player Casper Ruud to win his fourteenth French Open and overall twenty-second Grand Slam title.

What is G.O.A.T?

Greatest Of All Time (G.O.A.T.) is an unofficial competition observed by fans and media to determine who among the Grand Slam title winners is the greatest player of all time.

Until last year, Roger Federer, Novac Djokovic, and Rafael Nadal all had twenty Grand Slam titles each. This year, Nadal won two more.

Federer and Djokovic may return to the court next year and match Nadal’s tally. But it’s unlikely since they are on the verge of retiring. So it looks like Nadal may be our G.O.A.T. But it’s just a fun and silly title. Anyone who has won twenty Grand Slams is going down in history as one of the greatest players of all time.
