<h5>India advances into the finals!</h5><p>India defeated England, the defending champion, in the second semi-final of the ICC T20 World Cup (WC).</p><p>India batted first and scored 171 runs at the end of the first innings.</p><p>Next, it was India's bowlers' turn to show their skills, and they did great. They bowled out England for 103 runs, helping India advance to the finals.</p><figure class="image"><img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/newsahoot.appspot.com/India_2_b8605fed4c.jpg" alt="India 2.jpg"><figcaption>The Indian team during the semi-final. Photo by BCCI.</figcaption></figure><h5>The final showdown!</h5><p>Twenty teams played their best for a month to reach the World Cup finals. Now, only two teams, India and South Africa, are left to compete for the trophy.</p><p>Today, on 29th June 2024, both teams will play the final match to see who will win the trophy.</p><figure class="image"><img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/newsahoot.appspot.com/India_3_647b48ae9a.png" alt="India 3.png"><figcaption>India vs South Africa. Photo by ICC.</figcaption></figure><h5>Can India end its ICC trophy drought?</h5><p>India had a great tournament, finishing first in Group A and topping Super Eight - Group 1 to reach the semi-finals.</p><p>The players have been excellent throughout. Fans are hopeful India can keep playing well in the final and finally <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.newsahoot.com/articles/t20-world-cup-india-reaches-the-semi-finals">win the ICC trophy they've been waiting for</a>.</p><p>But South Africa is a strong team and won't be easy to beat. They finished first in their groups during the league stage and the Super 8 round and defeated Afghanistan in the semi-final.</p><p>Let's hope India plays well against South Africa and wins the trophy. It would make us all proud as world champions!</p><p><strong>Update: </strong>India has won the T20 World Cup. Sadly, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja have announced that they will no longer play international T20 cricket.</p>
