<h5>India inches closer to the trophy!</h5><p>The ICC T20 World Cup (WC) is almost finished, with only four teams remaining, including India.</p><p>India has done great in the WC till now! They topped Group A and moved to the Super 8 round, facing Afghanistan, Australia, and Bangladesh.</p><p>India beat all three teams and made it to the semi-finals (yay!).</p><p>India’s place in the semi-final stage was confirmed after their win against Australia (<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.newsahoot.com/articles/australia-wins-the-icc-men-s-cricket-world-cup">we got them back for the ODI WC!</a>).</p><figure class="image"><img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/newsahoot.appspot.com/India_7e3fa72bb9.jpg" alt="India.jpg"><figcaption>Team India. Photo by BCCI.</figcaption></figure><h5>Battle of the final four!</h5><p>Along with India, South Africa, England, and Afghanistan have reached the semi-finals.</p><p>Afghanistan surprised everyone by reaching the semi-finals for the first time in a cricket World Cup. India will play against England in the 2nd semi-final on 27th June 2024.</p><p>The winners of both semi-final matches will play in the tournament's final match.</p><p>Let's hope India reaches the finals and wins the trophy, ending their ICC trophy drought.</p>

With two more wins, India can lift the ICC T20 World Cup trophy.
