<h5>Indian team announced!</h5><p>The BCCI has announced India’s 2024 T20 World Cup (WC) squad. Rohit Sharma will lead the squad, and 18 other members have been selected to represent India.</p><p><strong>The Indian squad: </strong>Rohit Sharma (c), Hardik Pandya (vc), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant (wk), Sanju Samson (wk), Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohd. Video by BCCI.</figcaption> </figure></div><h5>Fan reaction to the team.</h5><p>Fans are angry that Rinku Singh has been selected as a reserve candidate and that KL Rahul has not even been considered for the tournament.</p><p>According to fans, Singh is a proven finisher, i.e., a batsman who can quickly score runs towards the end of an innings, especially in ODI and T20 formats.</p><p>Fans believe that India is playing with fire by having four spinners and only three fast bowlers. If the pitches favour fast bowlers more, India would be out of options. Also, there is a clear need for a finisher like Singh.</p><p>India can still make changes to the squad until 25th May 2024, so let’s see if any changes are made.</p><h5>When is the 2024 T20 World Cup scheduled?</h5><figure class="image"><img src="https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/newsahoot.appspot.com/o/t20-world-cup-india-s-squad-announced%2FT20.jpg?alt=media&amp;token=fb597d9a-d88f-45df-9172-449eeeaade92"><figcaption>The ICC T20 World Cup trophy. Photo by T20 World Cup.</figcaption></figure><p>The tournament will take place in the USA and the West Indies in June 2024. The competition features twenty teams, making it the largest T20 WC ever. Each team has been separated into four groups of five teams.</p><p>The top two teams from each group will reach the Super 8 round, where they will be divided into two groups of four. Out of both groups, the top two teams will reach the semi-final, and then the final two teams will play the final to win the trophy.</p>
