One person poured water on her while she was sleeping, and another threw a shellfish at her. Some even threw food to get her attention.</p><p>The zoo’s director is very upset and says anyone hurting Moo Deng could get in trouble. Only about 2,000 are left in the wild, mostly in African countries like Liberia and Guinea.</p><p>These small hippos are half the size of regular ones and weigh much less. They are nocturnal and reclusive by nature.</p><p>They love to hang out in swamps and rivers to keep cool and wet. They eat grass, leaves, and fruits that fall on the ground.</p>
