The diamond was found in a mine called Karowe, owned by Lucara Diamond. Imagine digging in the sand and finding the biggest, shiniest stone ever! That’s what happened in Botswana, a country in Africa.

Lucara Diamond used a special X-ray machine to find this huge diamond. It’s like a magic machine that sees through rocks and spots shiny diamonds inside without breaking them, keeping them safe and sound!
