Donald Trump becomes the president.
On 20th January 2025, Donald Trump took office as the 47th President of the United States. Trump was also president before, from 2017 to 2021.
In his speech, Trump said he would work hard to make America a great country. He called this the start of a "golden age" for the United States. Trump also said that other countries would respect the US again.

Some big changes right after taking office.
As soon as he became president, Donald Trump made some big decisions:
- Forgave People: He forgave most of the people involved in the January 6th, 2021, attack on the US Capitol.
- TikTok Warning: He gave TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, more time to find a new owner or face a ban in the US.
- Left WHO: Trump decided to take the US out of the World Health Organization (WHO).
- Left the Paris Agreement: He signed an order to leave the Paris Climate Agreement. This is a global plan to fight climate change.
- Changed Gender Rules: Trump said the US would only recognise two genders—male and female—and ended some policies that supported LGBTQ rights.
On the day Trump took office, many people protested against him. People are curious to see what other changes he will make and how his second term will go.
