'The Surprise Party-Part 1' by Saaveri

Read this amazing story by a Class 5 student of The Class Of One.

As she went to bed, her father held her hands and said, "Daddy will be here, okay?"
The 5-year-old agreed. She said:

Hope - Hey, Daddy!
Ricardo - Yes dear, why'd you call me?
Hope - You really promised me that you'd be inside our house gate?
Ricardo - yes, sweetie. Now you should sleep because tomorrow, your friends will be here and you don't want to be sleepy in front of them. Do you?
Hope - No (giggles)

Hope says "good night" to her father, and her father goes away.

She tries to sleep, but she can't! After all, tomorrow is her birthday, and she can't wait! But little does she know her father is planning something for her.

Let us go take a peek, shall we?

(Ricardo with his wife)

Ricardo - Honey, did you get the cake?
Judy - Yes, I bought the cake, balloons, papers, speakers and her gifts.
Ricardo - And the gifts?
Judy - Oh, I haven't got it, yes, I took the money.
Ricardo - Oh, well, send you the secret code.
Judy - I know, I am. Now, let us go.

(Judy rushes to the backyard and plays music)

Hope - Oh, is it 6:00 yet? I am so sleepy!

(Just as Hope was getting out of bed, she noticed balloons everywhere.)

"What is this?" she thought. She heard pop music, and it was her favourite song. She ran out. What did she see?
Everyone - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
