The incident.

Hezbollah, a [[militant group::A terrorist organisation]], uses [[pagers::They are small, portable electronic devices used to deliver and receive short messages.]] to communicate. Recently, in Lebanon and Syria, these pagers suddenly exploded! It hurt many people, and nine people died.

Hezbollah thinks Israel did it, but Israel hasn’t said anything. But, an American official said Israel told them about it later. Also, Israel and Hezbollah are enemies.

After the pagers, [[walkie-talkies::A small radio carried in hand, used to send and receive messages.]], and solar gadgets also exploded in Lebanon, causing more injuries. Reports say it is the second wave of attacks against the militants.

How was the explosion done?

Hezbollah uses pagers because they’re harder to track than phones. Reports say Israel put tiny bombs inside the pagers months before the terrorist organisation received them. They hid a special board with explosives that could blow up with a secret code.

The tricky part? Even scanners couldn’t find the bombs! The pagers got normal messages, but boom—they were actually codes that made them explode! Also, details about the second wave of attacks have yet to emerge.

Hezbollah was started by Iran's Revolutionary Guards in 1982 during a [[civil war::A fight between two or more groups of people from the same country.]] in Lebanon to fight Israeli forces in Lebanon and share their [[Islamic Revolution::In 1979, Iran experienced a historic event known as the Islamic Revolution. It was an important change as many people desired a new method of operating their country.]] ideas.

Over time, Hezbollah grew and now works in Lebanon and nearby places. Many countries call them a terrorist group. The group gets a lot of help from Iran.

When the Gaza war started, Hezbollah said they supported Palestine and began attacking Israel. This isn’t their first fight with Israel; they’ve been fighting for years. Now, Hezbollah has promised to get back at Israel for the latest attacks.
