What is the US Open?
The US Open is an international tennis tournament. It's one of the [[Grand Slam:: series of significant tournaments in a single sport held in the same year. They are the French Open, US Open, Australian Open and Wimbledon in tennis.]] events in tennis and is held every year.

What record did Novak Djokovic make?
Novak Djokovic won his 24th Grand Slam title after defeating Daniil Medvedev in the final match of the US Open. He overtook Serena Williams to become the first player to win 24 Grand Slams in the [[Open Era::The current professional era of tennis. It began in 1968 when Grand Slam tournaments allowed professional players to compete with amateurs. Earlier, only amateurs were allowed to participate in Grand Slams.]].
Djokovic is tied with Margaret Court, who also won 24 Grand Slams. Djokovic also became the oldest guy to win the US Open in the Open Era. This is his fourth US Open title.

Coco Gauff became the youngest American winner of the US Open since Serena Williams won it in 1999.
India’s Rohan Bopanna became the oldest player to reach a Grand Slam final in the Open era at the age of 43 years and 6 months. He broke the record set by Canada's Daniel Nestor.
Sadly, Rohan Bopanna and his partner, Matthew Ebden (from Australia), lost to the USA’s Rajeev Ram and Great Britain’s Joe Salisbury.
