Life hasn't been easy after I met him.

Who is he, you ask?
He's Anjan. My best friend. He died.

It happened on one chilly night. I had just finished hanging out with him. While walking back home, I received a text.

The text-

Anjan
Hey. Did you ever receive this text of someone asking for help? It sounded like they were in danger.

Priyanka (You)
Hey! Nope. What did the text say?

Anjan
The text said to send the location of my home! It also said they needed help because they were about to die and wanted to come to my home to be safe. I don’t know what to do.

Priyanka (You)
Do not send them your location!

Anjan
Umm... Why?

Priyanka (You)
Follow the updates on Newsahoot! They said a new serial killer is on the loose. They are asking for help just to get your location!

Anjan
Like I would believe that! I’m definitely sending my location. What’s going to happen by just sending a location?!

Anjan sent the location.

Two days later:

Anjan
Help me! Someone is breaking into my home with a knife!!!

Priyanka (You)
Call 112! You should’ve listened to me earlier!

Anjan
They’re getting near! Oh no! They saw me!!! Goodbye, Priyanka!

Priyanka (You)
No! ANJAN!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you there?!

Anjan
Hello. I’m the one who came to your friend. Say goodbye to him for the last time…

Priyanka (You)
WHO ARE YOU?! WHAT DO YOU WANT?!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anjan
I just want your friend’s life.

I immediately blocked the contact and called the police.
They went to Anjan’s home and found him dead.
