Peanut Chikki
(Ready in 10 minutes)

Yay….Yay….It's Diwali time and Diwali holidays too. It is time for fun, festivities, shopping, decorating homes, and indulging in eating sweets. But why not eat and learn to make sweets without adding sugar? Surprised? Yes, we are going to indulge in healthy eating this Diwali.

So, why wait? Let’s start.

Please put on your aprons, and let’s always begin cooking in the presence of an adult lest some mishap occurs.

Ingredients:

1. 250 grams of unsalted roasted peanuts.
2. 100 grams of jaggery powder.
3. 1 tablespoonful of peanut butter.
4. White toasted sesame seeds to sprinkle.
5. A small silicone or a steel greased tray.

Steps to make:

1. Add all the peanuts to a freezer bag and smash them coarsely with a rolling pin. Remember not to powder them. Transfer it to a bowl.
2. Now, take a pan and heat the jaggery and peanut butter on a low flame until it is melted. Stir it until it becomes smooth. Please be careful not to burn it.
3. Switch off the gas and gently put in the smashed peanut. Stir and mix well.
4. Now, instantly pour all this mix onto the greased silicone tray while still hot.
5. Sprinkle the white sesame seeds on the top. You may press it gently with a flat spoon.
6. Allow it to cool.

After half an hour, you can cut it into squares and enjoy this yummy, healthy, no-sugar peanut chikki. Store it in an airtight container.
